And then he’ll find out that they left her in the hospital in a drug-induced stupor and didn’t bother to visit her and then Belle’s gonna have to take a “two steps forward, five steps back” situation and try to turn it into a “two steps forward, one step back” situation.

A theory about Snow
That is, if the writers/producers were clever and nuanced enough to come up with more than the obvious and way-too-easy explanation. (2x17 Welcome to Storybrooke spoilers)
This drama about Snow killing Cora is starting to piss me off. She put down a rabid dog who wanted to kill everyone but Regina. She defused a bomb. Get over it, Snow.
Yep.
The only way I’m going to buy this at all is if the dark spot isn’t the killing, but the using of dark magic to do so. Because that’s still not great,but at least I can file it under “but, magic” in order to have it make sense.
I also wonder if intent is somehow involved. Magic knows what your intent is. If she was thinking about saving her family then maybe it wouldn’t have caused the dark spot. But if she did it for revenge…
But mostly I want Belle (real Belle) to be here to comfort Snow and let her know that it is okay. And that darkness doesn’t have to take over your heart. And then they lay in bed and watch movies and be bff.
She’s an expert in rehabilitation. She should be here.
So true.
And I bet when Belle gets her memories back and finds out about what happened, she is going to thank Snow for saving her true love.

Have you ever considered that maybe, perhaps, I am good? I was always the queen. It was you who added the “evil” to my name. -Regina, to Snow
This is, perhaps, the best summery as to why I don’t like Regina. She honestly believes this, that she’s good, the victim, and that Snow is at fault. Snow is the reason Daniel died, and Snow is the reason Regina is unhappy. She doesn’t own up to what she does, to the crimes she’s repeatedly committed to earn her the title of Evil Queen.
I find ‘always the queen’ to be interesting, since it’s a blatant untruth. She wasn’t the queen when they met. She was queen in title only, really, until she had Leopold killed. And by that time she’d already killed and taken hearts. Snow spared Regina’s life, and Regina plotted to kill Snow from the time she was a child, and Snow is the one that added evil to Regina’s name?
Regina has free will; she chose to take hearts, to control, to kill, to rape, to send children to a witch who would eat them. She added evil to her own name through her own actions. She’s yet to take ownership of any of that. I had hoped that she was working towards that at the start of the season. If she had, then I was beginning to think I could like her. But now it’s firmly back to ‘let me blame everyone but myself.’
